Hi,
there’s a restaurant in the city of Karaj, Iran that has its name changed, I suggested the name change along with a photo of the place, but the edit gets rejected immediately.
The place only has the name in Persian and since this city is not a tourist attraction, local customers are at the priority, it is requested not to enter the English name at the moment please.
The Persian name was: باغ رستوران سلطانی
It is now: باغ رستوران نیلوفر آبی
I noticed that the place is not claimed, so it should be a straightforward process to rename the restaurant.
Ask a local friend to try or ask for help in the Maps Support Community.

Check-in
Take a photo
Upload the photo
Then edit and submit the actual name
Reached for help here at Google Maps Help Communities but no response yet (2 weeks)
Also a friend suggested the edit,

We don’t have the check in option unfortunately but I suggested the edit with a photo uploaded at the time.
Do you have first hand experience that being at the location helps?
In my experience is has no effect at all. A high trust score sure does.

Your side note on not adding the English name is wrong and may make the experts think you are on a wrong track. Your personal opinion on whether to fill in the English name is proving you might not prioritize being helpful to all Maps users. The language setting in the Maps app helps people choose what language they prefer.
Or is there something I need to understand?
I gave your post on Maps support an upvote. Maybe that helps.
Else, you should move on and focus on other edits.

I’ve also been at the location and made the edit but still rejected.
Why I asked not to enter the English name:
-this is a country that majority of people cannot speak simple English terms, but their phone language is set to English; looking at Iranians’ Instagram profiles, many of them have an English motto on their profile heads with grammatical problems or misspellings, 'cause to them… some BS cliché motto in English is considered classy (pathetic)!!
-after years of this app being in iOS, it still doesn’t have Farsi language and since it must be changed from outside the app (in iOS) settings, even if Farsi was added, many locals here will not get aware of that in a few years (also most of wealthier people here have iOS phones, again classy!! (PATHETIC) )
-one goal of Google was to support local businesses, and again since we get very few tourists here, having the name flash in local language in Maps for locals would do a lot better helping the business to grow,
-also by leaving the English name field empty, no rules are broken, especially if there are very good reasons for that.
