This is Roger again… this time I would like to share with you one of my lists of places to visit while in Cancun Mexico… I would say these are my 4 favorite places in this area, even though there are so many more amazing places around!

- HOLBOX
Holbox is a beautiful island in North Quintana Roo. You can come here and just relax watching the views, or lying on the sand dunes into the ocean. You can also enjoy different activities such as whale sharks sighting, or snorkeling… but my favorite activity is during the night… BIOLUMINESCENCE is one the most magical spectacle I´ve ever experienced… make sure you don´t miss the opportunity to see it!!!
- CHICHEN ITZÁ
The fact that this is one of the 7 Wonders of Modern World says a lot… you are not allowed not to visit it!! While you are there, you will get to know some of the traditions of the Mayan culture as well as their culture… It’s just beautiful. Within the premises, there is a Sacred Cenote, where they used to make their sacrifices… It is really impressive. On your way back to Cancun, you can also visit Ik-Kil, which is also a beautiful cenote where you can swim… it really is beautiful…
BACALAR
Bacalar is a beautiful freshwater lagoon with seven shades of blue… I love this place because you can do a lot of activities such as swimming, paddle boarding, or kayaking… Bacalar offers beautiful views and excellent food… If, for any reason, you can´t find the beautiful colors, you just have to drive 3 minutes to a beautiful place called Xul-há… same lake, beautiful shades of blue, and amazing people. It is important to say that it is really close (like 1hr driving) to Chetumal (and its airport).
TULUM
If you want to get to know the Mayan ruins and enjoy beautiful views, then this is the place to go, because you are going to be amazed by the combination of both… Tulum is a magical place with white sand and beautiful colors. Plus, a lot of activities during the night… lots of fun!
Like I said previously, there are a lot of places to visit, and a lot of experiences to have and share while you are in the Mexican Caribbean… If you have already visited us, please let me know what you think!!
