[CANCELLED] Wheelchair Accessibility MKE

MKE Wheelchair Accessibility

Colectivo Coffee - Prospect Café

2211 N Prospect Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202, USA

September 30, 2017 @ 14:00 (CDT)

The main purpose of this meet up is to visit various places in the area to answer wheelchair accessibility questions for Google Maps listings. This is helpful to those with wheelchairs searching on Google Maps to determine if the establishment is wheelchair friendly and no surprises of inaccessibility. While doing this we can take photos, find out any additional information to be helpful to add on Google Maps. We can answer questions about how to search for places in the area that is in need of information on the Google Maps listing. We welcome anyone who is interested in becoming a local guide. We can show how to take and add photos, 360 photos using your smart phone , editing listings, answering questions on listings and adding any new places not already listed on Google Maps. Having an updated Google Maps and Google Street View app already installed is recommended. This will be a good opportunity for Local Guides and interested parties to meet and share any information and help each other with anything related to this. Look forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Just to let you know, I would love to join you on this trip! As a student from northwest Illinois learning at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, I am really interested in getting to know this city as well as working on Local Guides stuff. I recently saw Google’s ad campaign for the wheelchair accessibility features of Local Guides and wanted to do something about it. This seems like it would be the perfect opportunity!
