Hello, Anirudh Shetty From Mumbai here. A lock-down of 21 days is announced for India :india: to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic from spreading further*-.

While we stay home, let us all meet virtually with below agenda

  1. To get to know our Indian Local guides and create new friendships. :wave:
  2. To discuss different ways on how we can contribute to Google Maps while we are at home. (Like I was scrolling through my gallery finding good pictures which I had clicked thinking I will post in google maps, but then forgot) :v:
  3. Share fun stories! We all have our own favorite meme which even in those dire times make us laugh or recent story of our local guide contribution or maybe our lock-down stories. :grin:
  4. Pledge to stay home and ensure we strengthen world’s fight against Corona. :fist:

We would conclude all those points into a Local Guide Connect Post for everyone who could not attend and also for all our fellow local guides around the globe.

Also in Comments do feel free to add what other things could be part of the agenda.

Kindly tag fellow Local Guides from India and help spread the word.

THE MEETUP LINK WILL BE SENT AS A ANNOUNCEMENT IN YOUR MAIL before the meetup at 5pm

I have created a temporary whats-app grou****p for all attendees if they have any suggestions to give or any pre-meetup discussion, also can ensure reminders and getting to meetup support through this.

Hello India LG community,

I came across this post(Recent India Virtual Meetup) after I created this meetup and realized how a India virtual meetup had happened very recently.

I was really happy to read the post and all the comments. But yes equally sad that I couldn’t experience it.

Not sure if all of you would be very excited about having another virtual meetup so soon, but my meetup just got approved and I thought will leave it to the community to decide should we have it or not.

Also the agenda which I have mentioned in this meetup is different

  • To get to know our Indian Local guides and create new friendships.

I always had to skip meet ups due to work commitments as i am a housewife and we work 24\7

I was happy when LG s initiated the idea of virtual meet ups to connect with other local guides.

I am very much looking forward to attend live session to honour we local guides at international levels.

I know all India lockdown in 14 April but any meet LG meet up in India you get inform me.
