I am interested in attending this Meetup.I just wanted to know what will the the advantages or activities particularly in the meetup because I will have to travel for it.

Will we be receiving Google perks or something?

I am glad that you are interested in attending the meet.

As you asked about the advantages of attending this meet, I will explain. The advantages will be that you will be able to add many new places. We will be editing the locations, operating hours. We will be adding photos of shops/offices to the locations. There will be many shops/offices which are either shifted or closed we will update these to the Google Map.

Meet is an easy way of doing all this at one place and getting many points for your Google Local Guide profile. By doing all this you can level up your Google Local Guides profile and by the same time you will meet new people and make new friends from the Google Local Guides community.

I was just wondering if Google too has any role in it?

Because as per my knowledge,I know that Google pays you to organize a Meet-Up for food & all & you said that Food will be our own expense.

Yeah I get it that a Meet will be an easy way of doing it all it one place but it won’t any different as such when we do it in person…Don’t take me wrong,I mean I agree that Local Guides will be meeting too But I think that Google should offer something to make local Guides happy & enjoy themselves.

That’s what I was asking if Google supports Financially for Food & expenses from it’s own side.

But in this case,it’s just a normal Meet-Up from a Local Guide,we won’t be receiving any perk or any Financial Support which means we’ll have to spend each & every penny from our pockets.

Atleast Google really should Support all Meet-Ups so that would bring more Local Guides together.

Because as this way,People will not come in Meetups as they should be.

No one arrived till now for the meet at District Center Janakpuri. So we have to cancel the meet.
