Canceld -- St Kilda Beach Clean up (Melbourne)

Hello, I’m Yuri who moved to Melbourne from Tokyo 4.5 years ago. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with this beautiful city. I’m interested in sustainable living and started making & selling reusable beeswax food wraps at the local market since last year.

My lovely friend Mari inspires me in many ways. She shares tips of “How to live sustainably in our daily life” on YouTube. She organizes Yarra river clean up event regularly.

On the same lines, I’m organizing a meet up event to chat and clean up St Kilda beach and Mari will participate. I hope to see many people show up and join us both. Let’s make beautiful Melbourne even better!

Great to see another Melbourne Local Guide organising Meetups @Yuri-M well done - it usually feels like I make them all :). To make this Meetup official make a meetup entry here https://maps.google.com/localguides/meetup so that important details like location, time and date and a description of your proposed Meetup are known to everyone who might like to come along. Making it official will allow people to RSVP and allow you to communicate with the attendees.

Have a read of How to Organise a Local Guides Meetup and HowTo: Leading a Photo/Food/Geo Walk

Our global cleanup wizz @ErmesT will be interested in this.

Other Melbourne Local Guides @MariaNgo and @Terrycorb might be interested in this too.

See you there!

Hi @Yuri-M ,

In addition to what Paul and ermest already mentioned to you, I would like to kindly remind you to avoid sharing any personal details and websites of businesses and organisations on Connect. This is not allowed according to our program rules and we respect everyone’s privacy here. I’ve just redacted your post.

You’re welcome to suggest your meet-up here. I like your idea to clean the St Kilda beach, Victoria.

I wish I could join you, too!

No worries @Yuri-M I was going to ask you to cancel your Meetup but it looks like you never made one. When you regroup and reorganise create your Meetup at https://maps.google.com/localguides/meetup.

I hope that you and your family are ok.

Regards Paul
