What happened to the Android Google Maps App?
I can only see my reviews, and not the photos anymore.
Anyone sharing the same issue?
I also can’t see the contributed photos of other Guides. What the hell is going on again?

Es ist schon seit ein paar Tagen so, mal sind die Bilder da, dann sind sie wieder weg, bei allen 
Vielleicht werden die Ressourcen wo anders benötigt.

Just checked if it’s the same for PC-Desktop, however it does work there and contributed photos are being displayed.
No clue for the IOS-App, but Android-App definetely does not show contributed photos, no matter if on a cellphone or on a tablet.
How on earth, can this software even get worse? This is crazy.

Fotos aus der Maps-Profilansicht verschwunden!
Ich finde meine Photos nicht mehr auf der Profilseite am Smartfone. Diese waren bisher samt den Zahlen der Aufrufe vor den Rezessionen zu sehen.Wenn das so bleibt, werde ich keine Fotos mehr posten, bzw. nicht mehr Beiträge als Lokal Guide posten. Bisher konnte ich sehen, welche meiner Bilder wieviel Mal angesehen wurden und so erkennen, was gefragt ist. Über 30 Millionen Aufrufe sprechen wohl eine deutliche Sprache. Ich frage mich, warum wir Lokal Guides nicht bei solchen Veränderungen gefragt werden.
The same here: On the desktop under Contributions → Photos, I can see all photos as usual, but in the Android app → Your Profile, I see only the reviews. Scrolling further down under “Other Contributions”, I do see “Photo Updates”, but showing only those added under “News” (and not the photos attached to a review, as I originally thought).

Hello @tekino , @Annaelisa @WilfriedB I just checked my Android phone thru maps and there are no issues on viewing all my contributions.
I can also see all the photo contributions for Annaelisa, and WilfredB clearly. I cannot see Tekino’s contributions. His profile is still set as private.

@TerryPG thank you for the information. Might be only a regional glitch or related to the German version of the Android app.

Ich rege mich auch nicht darüber auf.
Man muss ja nicht immer aus einer Maus einen Elefanten machen.
Es ist aber seit ein paar Tagen so, Bilder da, Bilder wieder weg und wenn die Bilder da sind kann mir meistens nur eine begrenzte Anzahl ansehen dann stoppt die Ansicht.

Was soll uns dieser Link sagen.
@Annaelisa Morten hatte in dem Reddit Forum auf eine ähnliche Frage geantwortet und gesagt, dass er das Problem nicht hat. Jemand anderes sagte dann weiter, es wären 20.000 Fotos für zwei Wochen verschwunden gewesen, die dann wieder auftauchten.

I just change the settings in my Android to use English as language for the app UI, but without success - i.e. still don’t see the photos.

@PhotOlaf , it can be a temporary glitch on your app.
I can easily see the photos in your profile through the Android App.
If the problem persist please try to:
- Make sure to have the latest version of Google Maps installed
- Clear the cache
If it doesn’t work, removing the app and installing it again should fix your issue.
The best way to receive an answer from the community is to post a separate post on How Tos, where we post when we need the help of the community.
For this reason I am asking @DeniGu to separate the post from this thread.

Bei mir ist es auch so. Die Tipps der Moderatoren samt Cache leeren und Neuinstallation habe ich probiert. Seltsamerweise sieht der Moderator meine Fotos. Es nervt.
@Annaelisa stimmt: Nicht ärgern nur wundern!
Software ändert sich stetig und muss das auch tun und oft entsteht dabei etwas unerwartetes oder kurioses. Dennoch sollte man ein Fehlverhalten immer melden, denn ohne jede Fehlermeldung kann auch nichts verbessert werden…

Vielleicht liegt es ja an der Europameisterschaft in Deutschland

na ja, Europameisterschaft wäre wohl die am wenigsten wahrscheinliche Erklärung, aber soweit ich sehe, haben bislang nur Deutsche das Problem, was wiederum ein guter Hinweis für die Entwickler sein könnte.
Genauso die Tatsache, dass Terry unsere Fotos sehen kann und @PhotOlaf schrieb ja auch, dass Moderatoren seine Fotos sehen können, was wiederum daraufhin deutet, dass es ein Problem innerhalb der App und nicht auf einem Server ist … aber das sind nur Spekulationen und wir können nur hoffen, dass das morgen jemand weitergibt.
Aber da ich ohnehin kein Freund der Spielzeug-Computer bin, stört mich an der Sache nur, dass ich meinen Fotos keine Untertitel verpassen kann
