Can you add a watermarks or signatures on photos? Can you see the reason why the photos have been removed?
Hi @Dharmarider , please, have a look at this help center article:
https://support.google.com/contributionpolicy/answer/7411351
Open the “Photos and Videos” section then “Superimposed text or graphics”. Here you can read:
- For 360 photos, superimposed content must be limited to either the zenith or nadir (top or bottom 25% of the equirectangular image), but cannot be present in both.
- For traditional digital photos and videos, superimposed content cannot take up more than 10% of the image or video, and must be limited to a single edge.
- Superimposed text or graphics must be relevant.
- Distracting superimposed text or graphics are not permitted.
So yes, you can add watermark or signature within the limits of what’s written there. Do not add web URL’s, email addresses or phone numbers though as they aren’t considered “relevant” - and in general, the text should not look spammy.
Ok is there another way you can promote your url there?
Maps is not the place to promote yourself but the places you take the photos of. If you do otherwise, your photos may get removed even without you noticing as you will still see them under your contributions but no-one else with the POI.
Right so is there any where to promote a website or url or something?
