I had to create a new Local Guides account due to being unable to gain access into my previous account. I wish there was a way I could verify the previous unaccessible account as my own and have it either merged into my new current account or have this account merged into the old original account and given back access to it. My unaccessible account is far more advanced. As it is a level 6 Local Guide and this is a level 3. I think combined id be either a level 7 or 8. If there is a way to do this, please fill me in.
@LocaIghost what’s the reason that you’re unable to gain access to your previous account? If you were banned, you shouldn’t be creating a new account to circumvent the process. Having multiple accounts is a violation of the Local Guides program.
But to answer your question, no there’s no way to merge accounts.
No I was not banned. I lost the password to the Google account used to access the last account. Also, currently the email the account was under is no longer active. I’ll post the links to my old account so you can rest assured me being banned is definitely not the case.
@LocaIghost What do you mean that the email account is no longer active? Was it an education/work email? These kind of accounts are not recommended to participate in Local Guides program for this exact kind of cases.
Try and see if you can somehow get permanent access to the email account somehow. If this is not possible, then there’s no choice than creating a new account and start from scratch again. Merging accounts is not an option.
Do what? no… How did you come to the conclusion it was due to an education/work account?
In life, more often than not, the simplest conclusion is the most likely… I’m gonna try and explain it more simply for you. Several years ago I discovered Local Guides Connect. I thought it was a totally awesome social platform so I signed up as a Contributor right away. After several years of building a following and amassing over 1.2 million views of my contributions, I was hacked and doxxed. I lost access to that email. Among many other things. The level of attack that was brought upon me was so taxing that I walked away from the social world all together. For a few years.
Just recently I started to feel the passion coming back, so I sought out my old pathway I created for myself. Unfortunately for everything I built prior, it was and is all gone. I am not the man I was back then and never will be. I put myself into a cocoon and finally the butterfly has emerged and Now I’m back but I have to use new emails, new handles, new passwords, new everything.
And I was pondering greatly the ability to merge new accomplishments with my latter. And now we are here.
Not to be rude, but I feel this is a perfect moment for a lesson. They say, when you assume things you not only make and ass of yourself but me as well.
Ass=U+Me
I have a feeling people are going to be curious which account was my previous…
@LocaIghost Apologies if you had the impression that I was assuming, but I really wasn’t. If you read my reply again, it was actually in the form of a question. My follow up explanation is just to save time, to give the explanation, rather waiting for another back and forth. Please don’t take it personally and you can just ignore it if it doesn’t apply to you.
I did assume your reply above was meant to me, considering you didn’t mention anyone in your reply, and there’s more than two people in this post that you can reply to. If my assumption is incorrect (that you tried replying to me), again I apologize.
