Can not log in from Android Mobile directly to Local Guides Connect

@TraciC @sonnyNg @Petra_M

Good Morning!

Wish everyone Happy, Blissful life living!

While log in from gmail on laptop, web page of Local Guides Connect opens with automatic log in.

However, when we click any message of local guides on mobile, it asks every time to log in again.

Needs some urgent attention form Google to resolve this.

Hi @AptMinesh usually when this happens clearing your browser cache, cookies and data will resolve the issue.

Do you have multiple users on your phone or just one?

Please don’t tag multiple Googlers in a post and definitely please don’t tag the people who run the platform.

Thanks for your quick response,

Did that too.

Still in Jio browser problem exist.

Tried on Brave browser too. Same problem exist.

Same problem exist on google chrom browser too.

All three browsers I use, asks for log in to reply or to comment on any post which I open from gmail.

Problem is on mobile only not in laptop.

Problem exist after deleting all history, cache, etc.

Hey @AptMinesh

As suggested by @PaulPavlinovich

please avoid overtagging. Tagging single moderator is enough.

Please Save your login-info in the browser after cleaning cache files and junk. This will help you for sure.

Hi @AptMinesh I just tried this on my phone to make sure and it appears to work. Is the Google account you’re using on your phone the primary account or only account on the phone?

Paul

Hi @AptMinesh ,

Thanks for reaching out! : ]

Just to be sure, would you open your mail directly on your browser, or you would be using a separate Google Maps app for the purpose?

Please be noted as @PaulPavlinovich kindly noted, as it was already mentioned before, do feel free to mention only one Moderator, should the subject be urgent (similarly to the current one).

Similarly as @VinayKrishna kindly provided, would you give a try to check in setting of your browsers, as for an example if you are using the Chrome browser, you may check the instructions provided in the article Manage passwords.

Sorry, did that too but not helping.

Yes, this is my primary account.

Thanks for your response.

Chatting with PaulPavlinovich to resolve.

Hello @AptMinesh

The problem would arise when you start deleting cookies while exiting any browser.
Alternately, some cleanup app would do that for you the moment you exit from a browser.
Please change the setting to retain the cookies forever unless you delete those manually.

Hi,

Thanks for your guidance.

I delete all history & cookies manually and not on exiting browser with auto delete option enabled.

Hello @AptMinesh

Thanks for the clarification.

Nevertheless, the problem faced by you can arise only because of insetting of the cookies. Please see this official help page https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/54490?hl=en

I suggest, you disable following services temporarily & then try once again.

  1. Antivirus apps

  2. Ad blocking apps

  3. VPN services

  4. Cleanup- apps running in the background.

Once you pinpoint the root cause, you can enable these selectively making the Connect site as an exception.

And my friend @AptMinesh , when you have any problem, don’t worry so much, just try to find solution… And find what thing you missed out…

And please don’t Overtagging moderators, or many moderators… It may cause suspending your account… I say based on my experience, so when I overtage many moderator they warn me… So I say in advance to you.

Thanks…

Take care   …

Hey @KishorMali

It would be great if you do pretty research on what you are going to say.

Account can be suspended due to a lot of reasons stated under:

Over tagging in a long run may leads to marking the post as spam rather than directly suspending the account.

P.S.- I can see (Not sure) that even you have overtagged moderators.

Hi @KishorMali

The proper solution will be highlighted by the moderator or the author. Until till we can wait to get proper confirmation.

But bro problem is solved by connect moderator @PaulPavlinovich …

Check @AptMinesh reply… He say problem is solved…

@VinayKrishna

And for proper solution is based on question, but in this @PaulPavlinovich answer &solve this question. So if connect moderator give perfect answer, so why you wait for proper solution??

I don’t understand.

If the answer solve the problem, that’s the proper solution… And you don’t trust on connect moderators, so I don’t know…

@AptMinesh hi there, how did you go with this issue, is it still affecting you? I see that @C_T has offered an explanation. If you’re still experiencing the problem, the next step I would suggest is to open Chrome in incognito mode and login to your gmail, then try using a link from gmail to Connect in a new tab, it will get you to login the first time but likely won’t the next time as long as you don’t close the browser. If this works, then there is likely an add-in running in your browser which is causing the issue.

@VinayKrishna please note that @KishorMali is correct, people can get warned for all sorts of spammy and anti social behaviour - over tagging is one of those behaviours.
