No. You can’t do any advertising on this forum.
This forum is meant for Local Guides who voluntarily contribute to Maps.
There is another forum for the business that is GMB. You need using that for promoting your product.
Further, only individuals can sign up for the LG program and not businesses. If you have done so using the business credentials, you have to exit the program.
Nevertheless, you can claim your business on Maps, if not done yet, and then update the “About” section describing the specialities of your products and services.

The place where a Business listing should be (to be found) is Google Maps.
As mentioned by @C_T and @MortenCopenhagen , a business cannot represent his activity as a Local Guide. This is against the Local Guides Program Terms and Conditions : “Organizations, brands, and businesses are not eligible for the Program.”
Think about this: everyone in this community knows that advertising here is forbidden, and we are a Global Community, while I believe that, advertising, you are interested to reach people in Halifax, not in other countries far away from your business. Your advertisement here will be reported in a few hours, if not minutes. In that time you may be able to reach 0 to 5 people from your area and most of them, knowing the rules, will identify you as a spammer, non as a place to go.
But of course, you are welcome to join this community as a Local Guide, contributing to the global improvement of Google Maps
