Can I know why is my place time zone not available ?

As a local guide , I wanted to set up my profile on Local Stories but I don’t see the time zone where I belong. I am surprised . Will I be able to select my timezone ? Or Is there any alternative method of selecting it?

Hi @bulet1n

I think it is pretty normal that we have to select a bigger city near where we live - but in the same timezone.

The list of time zones would be unmanageably long if every town should be listed.

It’s true that all the time zones aren’t listed in the settings.

Thus I find a specific time zone GMT + 5:45 isn’t there, although GMT + 5:30 or 6:00 is available for selection.

However, in that case, selecting the nearest timezone can solve the problem for the time being.

Also, I find that the activities on the Connect are aligned to UTC. That makes the selection of any particular time zone not so much relevant.

Additionally, you can put a suggestion in the Idea Exchange for the inclusion of a specific time zone of your region.

You country, that have a timezone of GMT+5:45, is not available on the Time Zone setting of Connect. Sorry about that

@C_T Sir, Yes I can see that in the list :slightly_smiling_face: and it is by default. Timezone matters in digital world . Even google chrome browser ask us to set up time for browsing.

Time zone matters as we align our activities around that.
Nevertheless, fitting into a time zone is an approximation in itself
For my city, a time zone GMT + 5:00 would be perfect. However, I have to fall in line with the standard and accept an approximation of GMT + 5:30.
