Can anyone give me a solution here, what is my mistake here?

Hello Friends, I edited the 0.8 kilometer road in South Africa shown in the picture. There was already a road here, I just extended it forward. I don’t understand what else I could be doing wrong here? Why wasn’t it done with my edit? :frowning:

I shared my edit link here.

Thanks a Lot!

The reason your edit was rejected is likely due to the inaccuracy of the original road on the map. Based on the image, there’s no road present, so extending it would perpetuate an error.

You need guidance on how roads look on satellite images and how to identify them. Please do not add such unnecessary roads to the map.

@NareshDarji Brother, The line I have drawn clearly shows that there is a road, And the line is already drawn. I am working very carefully following the guidelines of Google Road Map.

Sometimes, the Road Mapper algorithm rejects valid edits for reasons like roads being too narrow, covered by trees, or just not clearly visible in satellite images, @OmarBD. It’s not always about accuracy—sometimes, it’s just how the system processes the data.

It seems there’s a misidentification happening. What you’re interpreting as a road is actually a fence or hedge separating two fields.

Please see the screenshot shared below. Do you see the road in it?

Now, click on the map link of this place and check if there is indeed a road there. After seeing this place, you will realize your mistake.
