The route of the stage

Last night in Herceg Novi we had dinner in the New Marina which is being built, a large port to accommodate pleasure boats. Also new is the restaurant, truly at the top, with extraordinary dishes.

Of course, the price was also top for these areas but, almost at the level of a farm in our part.
At the exit the moon illuminated us reflecting its light on the port and we heard a strange noise, already heard before in Croatia, and I always thought it was some equipment present in the ports, or in some boat, such as a radar or a sonar. But hearing that it came from several directions, I discovered, listening to various voices of nocturnal birds on wikipedia, that it is a scops owl, a nocturnal bird of prey very similar to the dwarf owl. I think that if you have never heard it and should happen to hear it, you will surely have this doubt too. It is a unique sound that repeats every 3 seconds or so and looks like the classic sound you hear in submarine movies when plumbing sonar.
This morning, after a truly adequate breakfast, in the beautiful Kredo boutique hotel, we resumed our return journey to Dubrovnik. The intention was to pass the head of the Gulf of Kotor and cross the border at that point there and return to Croatia by going up a valley parallel to the border we passed yesterday. Therefore after passing via Castelnuovo, we began to climb towards the pass and the alternative border. We saw that this road was not busy, in fact a truck and a car had passed. After 3 km of climbing, we were already 130 meters above sea level, we arrive at the border post, and the policeman makes big drawings for us with his hands that we could not pass. And he warns us that the Croatian border, being Easter, is closed and no one can pass even at the Montenegrin border. We tried to pity the policeman, but there was no way, we had to turn the bikes and go downhill and redo the climb that leads to the main border between Montenegro and Croatia. You can get to the border very easily, the problem is the 2 km ramp which, from the crossing of the Montenegrin border reaches the Croatian border in no man’s land, with a nice 10%, trifles for those who are well trained but, try to bring on 15 kg of bags on a 10%.
We practically retraced the road yesterday and like yesterday, we wanted to stop in Gruda to eat in the restaurant where we had eaten very well yesterday. Here, we forgot we were in Croatia. At Easter, if not in the big cities, everything is closed and it is Easter for everyone. The only place opened was a bar near which we ordered a coca-cola, and Mariacristina also dipped the biscuits in coca-cola. We also ate four bananas. The energies were recovered and so we set off towards Dubrovnik, with the usual problems of heavy traffic on the D8 road and and a few bad words to the drivers. We arrived at the Lero hotel in Dubrovnik, very beautiful and now, we are sprawled here where everyone rests in the way they prefer. Even today 60 km of bicycle and 960 m in altitude.
