🇺🇸 Calling all local guides!!!!!

Celebrating with my now 3-year old grandson and visiting Memorial Park, Colorado Springs for some fireworks.

With Memorial Day quickly approaching and the festivities that accompany which for me typically involves partaking in our annual Territory Days in Old Colorado City honoring the good ‘ole days (late 1800s) when our city was known only as Colorado City. Rumor has it that Colorado City was the last civilized town before settlers hit the West. In addition to Territory Days I love hosting an ‘everyone’s invited’ good ‘ole barbecue - store bought dishes are most definitely not :no_entry_sign: allowed.

I often times get lost amongst all the festivities that I overlook what truly makes this very special day so important to me and why Memorial Day is the gateway to life as I know it. Memorial Day is an opportunity for me to pay tribute to those active-duty service members who have sacrificed their lives for me, my family and this beautiful country - which especially holds true as the proud daughter of a retired Air Force service woman :us:.

I would like to invite all Local Guides to share what :medal_military: Memorial Day means to you and how you plan to celebrate this upcoming holiday in your respective country.
