In the heart of Sacramento, California is the State Capitol sitting amongst a beautiful park full of soaring trees.
The park offers a few veteran memorial sculptures and a lovely rose garden.
The Capitol building itself was partly under construction but still accessible to the public.
Grand staircases, a weird checkered board basement, and a lovely rotunda were all open to see.
As an avid traveler my goal to visit all 50 US capitols inches closer, #33 in the books.
