Burj Khalifa-Tallest building

Let’s Visit the highest building ever made by humans till now.

Burj Khalifa was named as Burj Dubai in its construction phase and now is officially named in honour of the president of the neighbouring emirate of Abu Dhabi. It includes Luxurious Hotels and mind-blowing residences and commercial offices.

Burj Khalifa is located in Downtown Dubai.

I was shocked when I first looked at the Burj Khalifa.

I had booked my slot of 21:30 and reached there earlier by 1:30 hour. However, if you want to book offline, you can book your ticket near the ticket counter which is within Dubai Mall near the subway sandwich restaurant on the Lower ground floor.

I know I may look super crazy but I was excited and did not want to get late for this as I get late for my College lectures. I was also amazed at the number of people around me watching the same marvellous creation.

To start with the entrance of Burj khalifa, one needs to first enter into Dubai Mall which is the second-largest mall (by Total land area) and 26th in the world. If you also reached the place before time and want to invest the time in something cool yet nearby so you won’t miss what you came for, below are the suggestions (Tried and tested by your fellow Local Guide- Abhijeet Hodbe) :

  • The Dubai Fountain (Amazing lighting show happens every 15-30 minutes starting from 6 pm)
  • Dubai Aquarium and underwater zoo (Must try because it is a completely different world in here)
  • Dubai Dino (It showcases massive creatures of the ancient era)
  • Enjoy Ice Rink in the mall
  • Hysteria (Experience fear where there will be ghosts to scare you. It’s fun but not but faint-hearted)
  • Shopping (Shop till you drop because it has many stores for every category)
  • If you don’t want to spend anything and still enjoy, simply sit near the fountain and stare at the Top of Burj Khalifa as it changes its colour and highlights its wonderful lights.

Ticket: The price I paid as an Adult was 125 AED but you can get a discount if you have a large group with you. There are 2 different category tickets - A different ticket price if you wish to visit only up to floor 125th a different price if you want to go to the 148th floor.

  • For more information check the official website.

Now its time to go for the Burj Khalifa tour. Once you get your ticket in hand, you need to wait in the queue, Your wait won’t be boring as you will be surrounded by Interactive displays with needful information about the thing which you are going to witness.

Now after a while, you will be allowed to enter the elevator which travels 10 m/s and in no time you will be on the 124th floor. In this floor, you will see such a magical and unbelievable view of Skyline. You can also faintly see the outline of Iran. Make sure you thank everyone who made this experience possible for visitors like us. You have to go to the 125th floor as that is already included in the ticket and also there is the exit.

There are telescopes provided which you can use. Also, there are photographers who take your photos and they will not charge as they take your picture. You will be given a token from him/her and you submit it on the Lower floor or exit to get your picture and pay for the same.

Must try: Don’t miss the VR experience where you wear the VR Headset and climb Burj khalifa and virtually skydive through the top of it. I tried and completed the task. It’s near the exit on the 125th floor.

Tip: You should book your ticket in advance for the 3 pm or 6 pm slots when the sunset is about to start but it is also difficult to get tickets on a busy day and best time slot. If you did not get any of those time slots, go for night time as it is the time when Entire Dubai has its lightings on and it is a blessing for our eyes.

Hope this helped you gain some information about the Iconic Burj Khalifa.

I would love to hear your previous experiences or even future plans to visit the most famous skyscraper in the world.

Hi @AbhijeetHodbe,

Thanks for sharing this interesting post with us. Dubai is very modern and appealing, one day I hope I will be able to visit it. Is it possible to go up on the rooftop of Burj Khalifa to see the city from above?

Hello @Giu_DiB .

Dubai is a beyond belief Place to visit. It has everything for visitors from Skyrocketing buildings to underwater hotels. I wish you visit Dubai once International flights resume in a full swing.

Regarding your question, Tourists can go only up till the 148th floor to enjoy the view. The top floor is for maintenance purpose and hence tourist is not allowed above the 148th floor which still gives the spectacular view.

Thank you @Giu_DiB for the help.

Have a great day!

ten meters per second is an incredible speed @AbhijeetHodbe

You must have had some magnificent views from up there.

Thanks for taking us on a virtual tour of the Burj Khalifa.

I recently saw the news where a couple has taken baby gender reveals to a new height after using the Burj for 75K pounds to find out what they were expecting.

When you are in the elevator, you won’t even feel a jerk when it starts and stops on the respective floors. The travel even at 10m/s is very smooth and also the lift has an aesthetic interior.

I am happy that I could provide a Virtual Tour even in this Pandemic Situation @TusharSuradkar .

The news was trending about that couple on every platform

On 124 floor there is a balcony from where you can see the entire dubai. The balcony doesn’t have ceiling, it has wind cancellation system. Sometimes you can experience clouds also at very near distance.

Hello @AdamGT

This is the picture I could click from the 125th floor by keeping my mobile in a very risky position to get a perfect shot with no glass as an interference.

The fountain show from above looks mind-blowing too.

Wow @AbhijeetHodbe , now that is a great photo…the no glass is important I think!
