Remember when I first unveiled our Local Guides Wall of Fame! — that digital mosaic celebrating our amazing community Local Guides from around the world? The response has been nothing short of amazing so buckle up, and check out where it’s now at and see how the wall just got a major glow-up!
What’s new?
Firstly, watch the animated GIF and see how the Wall is assembled and comes to life with our Local Guides appearing one brick at a time — like watching the ultimate team puzzle built in slow motion!
Spot those vacant spots with numbered placeholders so you can imagine where your brick might fit next.
Ready to see the magic? Just select your avatar, your personal brick on the wall and see where it leads you to (examples will follow!)

It’s interesting to see that once you land on your page, there are buttons (quick links) that take you straight to your Connect profile, Maps profile, and your Star Photo and Star Video posts in Connect.
The buttons in my image look different from Example #1 and Example #2. Perhaps that’s because I seem to have 5 buttons, while Example #1 shows only 3 buttons since that LG has no Star Photo or Star Video, and Example #2 shows 4 buttons as the LG has no Star Video.
@AdamGT Currently, the PIN code 530046 is shown before my country name. I feel it would be more meaningful if the name of my place were displayed instead of the PIN

You know me @AdamGT sir since my early days, I have always followed your steps, I have never asked you where these steps will go because I know that when an experienced person takes steps then it is always in the right direction.

Thanks for your appreciation @anon64801222 and I’m really pleased that you like the Wall of Fame. See if you can follow what @PrasadVR has described and move from the Wall to your detailed “brick” and from their check that the buttons correctly link to your different profiles.
That’s correct @PrasadVR the “Wall with 60 LGs (RANDOM fill)” board is the actual Wall of Fame which currently shows 60 Local Guides that have correctly followed the participation procedure as detailed in this post. Selecting your brick then drills in and displays your detailed brick on Wall.
What you will see on your detailed brick on the Wall depends on whether you are a participant on the Leaderboards or not. For example, while @ShreyaMusings is a participant on the Local Guides Wall of Fame, as she’s not as yet participating on the Leaderboards, she does not have buttons that link to her most viewed photo and most viewed video on the album of star photos and album of star videos respectively.
There are other possible scenarios. For example, you may be a Leaderboard participant but not participating on either or both of the star photos and star video sections. The Wall dynamically covers all these different scenarios
Your detailed brick on Wall shows PIN code 530046 because you have indicated that that is your location on the Leaderboard System. Visit your Profile and update it there so that your detailed brick will correctly show your location.
The whole idea here is to show the integration of your Connect and Maps profiles and star media with the Leaderboard System so anyone selecting your brick on the Wall can quickly jump to any of these interrelated areas. The more you participate the more integration elements on your detailed brick you will have. Further enhancements are planned
@AdamGT thanks for creating such a powerful initiative & I’m very excited to be part of our community. It really does help to elevate our status and there’s the deserved recognition for so many dedicated Local Guides.
When I click on my wall photo I see my profile with links to my Connect, Maps, & my star photo & video. Are these links supposed to work or not ? Nothing happens when I click on each blue tab ?
Hi @PrasadVR thanks for responding. Yes I just gave it a go on my Chromebook laptop and the links work perfectly. So the links don’t work only on my smartphone then. Does anyone else have the same issue?
Hi @anon73568702 yes on my pc it works a treat, but mobile version it doesn’t, I waited but nothing happens. But clicking on Back to the Wall at the bottom, yes that tab works.
I’m so glad that you like it @Kumaarsantosh. As I originally described, the Wall is dynamic and will show a snapshot of 100 different Local Guides and now hopefully everyone can see where it is leading to, a simple integration of the key areas that we participate in - Connect, Maps, Leaderboards with more to come.
Oh thank you so much for your very kind words @shaileno and I have to mention that in your Game changed -BY-T100 leaderboard post you were the first to notice how to jump from the Wall to your detailed brick on it. You let the cat out of the bag LOL Well done Shailendra.
