I first started contributing to local guides to simply keep tabs of all of the locations and businesses that brought myself and my family a moment of joy. I always wanted to make sure my experience was shared with others as I appreciated and relied on the simplicity of finding reviews and information on google for everything. This became even more important when we moved to our new town of Matawan New Jersey.
Everything about Matawan is ideal, it is a small borough town centrally located between many well known towns in Central New Jersey, and it is close to the Jersey Shore and NYC. It is commuter friendly yet is in a transitional period which meant buying a home for my family was achievable. There are many new families like us that are moving in and looking to set new roots with plans to stay for long term. This transitional period also means that lots of change is coming to this small town and keeping tabs is vital for everyone here.
I am passionate about making sure Matawan is well represented on Google through local guides. This includes making sure new businesses that may not be Google savvy are represented properly and rated. Information about what is new and what is worth visiting in town has become vital to helping this town sort out what its needs are and what opportunities for growth are available. Since google is so centrally accessed as the first place many use to discover information about anything around them, the opportunity to contribute simply by sharing information is vital, and I fully understand the usefulness and importance for such a program based on how much I rely on the contributions of others.
