Budha Festival in South Korea

Every spring, in dates that vary, people come together to celebrate the birth of Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism. All around Korea, the streets and temples are covered with illuminated lanterns, symbol of wisdom and compassion.

A week before the birth of Buddha, there is the Lantern festival. I was in Seoul at the time.

A week later, it was the Buddha Festival, and I was in Busan, in the Samgwangsa Temple :

It was very worth it.
