Buddhist Temple hidden in the Middle of Markham

On Bayview Avenue north of Steeles Avenue is a Buddhist Temple called Cham Shan. Cham Shan Temple been a fixture of Markham for as long as I can remember and I have been a resident. The Temple was founded in 1973 which was the first Chinese Buddhist Temple in a western country (basically outside of Asia according to their website) The original Hall was expanded in 1984 and in 1994. I encourage anyone to visit as it’s quite beautiful and serene. You can see many of the different buddhatva and even some icons of generals or demons or learned men who become part of Chinese Buddhism. (If you are wondering why demons are part of Buddhism, they converted due to Buddha’s and became defenders of the faith) Anyways as always my link to my pictures are below

Hi @SunnyEren ,

Thank you for sharing your travel experience with us.

I have never visited any Buddhist Temple, so it would be really interesting for me to visit one someday.
