The annual Buddha’s Birthday and Multicultural Festival 2019 took place over the weekend of 13th and 14th of April at the Supreme Court Gardens Riverside Drive, Perth.
Throughout the two-day event featured activities throughout each day including baby blessings, mass meditation sessions, multicultural performances, vegetarian and vegan food stalls, numerous cultural displays, arts and crafts for kids, light ceremonies and fireworks!
I visited with my family including two young children and we each enjoyed the festivities for many hours on Sunday, including participating in activities, ceremonies, and consuming delicious food, drinks and desserts.
The lion dance and baby blessing chanting were especially enjoyable.
I would recommend anyone interested in learning more about Buddhism, or just looking for a family-friendly activity on the weekend to consider attending next year.
