Budapest : The City of Lights

Budapest is the most populous city in Hungary and one of the largest cities in the European Union. Architecturally, Budapest is a gem, with enough baroque, neoclassical, eclectic and art novae buildings to satisfy anyone’s appetite. The Hungarian capital is a delight both by day and by night, with its parks, brimming with attractions, museums filled with treasures, pleasure boats sailing up and down the scenic Danube and Turkish-era thermal baths, and of course its food and wine.

Actually, Buda and Pest are two different cities and separated and united by the beautiful Dunabe river. The beauty of the city is the Dunabe river flowing between Buda and Pest that divide them but the Széchenyi Chain Bridge(One of the main bridge that unites Bud and Pest) Unite them.

The beautiful Parliament building of Budapest is one among the beautiful and biggest parliaments.

Hi @AkhilGarg91 ,

Your post is amazing, thanks for sharing!

Do you live in Budapest or just visited it? What did you like the most? My favorite is the Budapest sign on the Heroes Square.

Hey @AkhilGarg91 ,

Thank you for sharing your trip. Did you try the boat tour? Also did you go to Matthias Church? It was a very nice place where you could see the city from above.

What impressed me the most there was the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden. It was a very nice place to take a long walk with a friend or the family.

No, I didn’t visit completely the Matthias church, I visited St Stephen Basilica and Fisherman Bastion.

Thanks for the reply @AkhilGarg91 !

Have you tried any local food? My favorites are goulash, chicken paprikash and kürtőskalács.

Hi @Petra_M ,

Always welcome.

I am vegetarian, so food choices are always low for me. but my friend tried Goulash and she liked it.

Luckily, there are many wonderful vegetarian options @AkhilGarg91 . They even make the traditional dishes without meat in a new refreshed form.

Hi @Petra_M ,

Unfortunately, I didn’t remember what I ate, I saw something vegetarian and I tried and it was nice. We went to the market in Budapest to try out things.
