Brunch and Meet in Vancouver Recap 2017-02-04

Despite a snowy weekend, it did not stop a group of #LocalGuides from meeting up for some yummy brunch. We braved the weather conditions and headed to Tuc Craft in Gastown of Vancouver. As we all wandered in, we met some new faces and caught up with some familiar faces. We were very lucky because we had some guests with us, @iyudhi and @Kimberly AnnG from the SF Community and also @TraciC from the NY Community! (Also thank you guys for all your photos!!)

Now for some food… Pork crackling, so good for breakfast… =D

Now that everyone has their food, time for a group photos! You’ll see that we are quite a diverse group of #LocalGuides. All with different interests but food and Local Guides appear to be a common theme. We got to chat a bit about what we want to do in the near future. There are even talks about doing a beer and/or poutine meet up in the near future. Perhaps we can entice our friends from the south of the border to come by again!

We had a few of the Princess Leia Pegman Pins to give out and we needed a strategic way to give them out! So we ended up going with someone with the most points, most photo views and least points (to motivate new Local Guide members). Congrats to Jamie, Greg and Ben!! There are still a few left! Come out for another meet up for your chance to obtain one!

We just headed out the door of the restaurant and decided one more selfie with the group! Pretty sure all Local Guides love to take photos to capture the moments! Look at everyone’s smiles! Definitely a good time!! Especially now that we’ve all had some good food! Thank you to our lovely guests, you guys have brought your extensive Local Guide knowledge to our city and for sharing your experiences and excitement with us. Kimberly, thanks for bringing out some of your Google glass for everyone to play as well! I’m sure everyone enjoyed it.

Last but not least… just something for our next meet up!

A shared photo album on Google photos can be found here.

I had SUCH an amazing time, @Shirley ! Thank you for hosting us and for picking such a yummy place. I wish I had more of the chicken and waffles. I also don’t know if I shared with the rest of the table, but I did have some of the maple syrup on my plate!!

For those of you at home who want to drool, here’s what I had for brunch:

Such a fun time meeting with Local Guides in Vancouver. Loving the community  Hopefully I can join more meetups in the future! And since we’re posting photos from the brunch, here’s mine

This is Tuc Croque Madame. Gelderman Farm ham, savoury bread pudding, Gruyere & Pecorino Romano cheese, two free run eggs sunny, jalapeño crema. No need to understand the ingredients (I don’t!), but trust me it’s good :stuck_out_tongue:
