Bringing the spirit of Local Guides to the classroom

Sampacho-my hometown- is turning 144 years old and it’s celebrating big time.
In the last few days, we’ve had several special events, form food truck festivals, militar parades and musical concerts, to a Beauty Contest- to choose Sampacho’s Beauty Queen.

I’m proud to announce that the local School has just invited me to talk about my experience as a Local Guide for an audience of 70 Kindergarten students ages 3 to 5.

They asked me to share some of my best pictures of the city with the kids and talk about the importance of sharing quality information in Google Maps.

Here’s my plan!! After watching some slides that I’ve designed using the fantastic tools provided by Google Drive, I’ll take some pictures of the School .

We’ll also make some corrections in School’s information. And we’ll create a list of 7 places you must visit in Sampacho.

To finish this incredible event, I’ll invite the teachers to write a review about the school.
I’m super excited about this presentation, and I’ll do my bestdo to inspire this kids to become the next generation of Local Guides

Wish me luck!

Muy buena idea!

A dónde puedo ver las fotos del meet-up?

Saludos cordiales!!!

Hi @CaroGuiniazu ,

It is so nice that the local school has invited you to share your experience as a Local Guide with them. But please note that people under the age of 18 are not allowed to participate in the Local Guides program because it is in violation of our rules.

@JavieraAu Hello Javiera you are absolutely right, after carefully reading the conditions, I realized that this meeting could not be considered as a meet-up. It end up being the first of many talks I gave in other schools. Right now I’ll change the title of this post so that it doesn’t lend to confusion. Thank you for pointing it out to me.

@SebaasC Hola Seba! A qué te dedicás?. Seguime en Instagram que ahí subo las fotos de todas las entrevistas y las visitas que hago  Un gusto conocerte! Y gracias por comentar!
