Brighton Pier, England - TravellerG

Brighton Pier, Brighton, England.

An evening in Brighton Pier… Beautiful place, especially with children…

Commonly known as ‘Brighton Pier’ (officially, Brighton Palace Pier) is 1760 feet long & was opened in 1899. There were 3 Piers in Brighton, out of which this one is only operational, now. Presently, this is only an entertainment place. With lots of rides & attractions, the pier functions on all the 7 days a week. The entrance of this beautiful place is free, one has to pay only for food and rides.

The views are amazing, from the pier. The beach also adds as another attraction to visit the place. Other interesting places are Britain’s oldest electric railway station (built in 1883), Brighton Wheel (Brighton Eye?), etc. – Here are few Photos.

No: 1. A part of the Brighton City, from the Pier - Brighton Eye is in the frame.

No: 2. The road approaching to the Pier.

No: 3 There are many Cafes, off the pier, which offer much more affordable rates.

No: 4 Brighton Pier in the background of the Brighton Wheel.

No: 5 The Pier

No: 6 Entrance

No: 7 Another view (wooden deck is clearly visible.)

No: 8 A ‘Blue Hour’ (after Sun Set) from the pier.

No: 9

No: 10 While exiting the pier

I hope that our @TorM will be knowing this place?

Thank you @TravellerG for tagging me and the post.

In fact I plan a trip with my daughter this year to England and maybe we will be there…

All depends of the impact of the Brexit…

Thanks for sharing @TravellerG , they are nice photos. What do you mean by Golden Hours? I’m looking forward to my next trip to UK in July. I will be travelling Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Wales, England. I won’t get a chance to visit Brighton though.

Wow… dear @TheEagleEye , “…Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Wales, England…” That will be rally nice (all beautiful places)… Wish you all the very best; you are right, in a pre-planned trip, Brighton may not fit in. If you are touching Dove, then you can try.

"…What do you mean by Golden Hours?..

Here is a very brief post by me (old), which explains both ‘Golden Hours’ & ‘Blue Hours’ - hope it will help you.

“…I’m from New Zealand and live in Prague, Czech Republic …” thanks for the info; I am from India.

Dziękuję bardzo @TravellerG Piękne zdjęcia, jak zwykle, miałeś szczęście, że trafiłeś w Anglii na złotą godzinę  Byłam w Brighton, piękne miasto, molo przepiękne. Podobne były w Hastings i Eastburne, niestety oba zostały spalone…

Here is a brief (old) post about ‘Golden Hours’ and ‘Blue Hours’. probably you may be interested in

Dziękuję bardzo za pochwałę  za zdjęcie. Niestety, zrobione o powszechnej w Anglii “szarej godzinie”. Chociaż ta część Anglii ma przyjazny klimat, ze wzgledu na ciepłe masy powietrza znad Francji.Życzę Ci miłego pobytu w Anglii i wspaniałych fotek.

Czytałam Twoje posty o złotej i niebieskiej godzinie. Dziękuję, że dzielisz się wiedzą, ja chętnie korzystam  Pozdrawiam Danuta

Thank you dear @TravellerG for remember to mention me in your post.

I like travel and taking photos. I like your photos. I was thinking London is nice city and all are modern building. But now i see amazing places. Especially i like the No.6 Entrance photo with the clock tower. We have one in Sittwe (former Akyab) since British era.
