Fruit sandwich, also known as fruit sando is a special sweet sandwich that is very popular in Japan. This sandwich is simply two slices of bread, stuffed with whipped cream and fresh fruits. It can be found at cafes, bakeries, and convenience stores all over Japan. Most of fruit sandwiches are typically made with colorful fresh fruits that have soft and juicy texture. Strawberries, oranges, kiwis, grapes, and mangoes are popular fruits to use in these sandwiches.
Well, I have never been to Japan and I have only seen these colorful unique sandwiches on the internet. It is definitely one of the Japanese foods I want to try if I get a chance to visit Japan one day. However, the ingredients are very simple and can be found worldwide, so it is very easy to recreate at home. I got the fruits and other ingredients from nearby fruit store named Total Fresh Fruit.
If your mouth is watering right now and you are unable to make it to Japan, don’t worry, I will share the recipe along with the easy-to-follow video. Basically you can just arrange the fruits as they are. But this time, I would like to make my fruit sandwiches look like floral arrangements. Aren’t they beautiful?
These colorful fruit sandwiches are sweet, refreshing, and perfect for breakfast or snack! I hope you enjoy the recipe as much as I enjoyed making and eating them
I really enjoyed it as I know that fruits are the healthy food with lots of benefits. However, when eating the cream, I will feel a little “sinful”
It doesn’t matter at all. This tastes so delicious! Well done!
