Since Evanston has become my home for the last year and a half, I thought it will be nice to share some of the great breakfast/brunch restaurants that are worth a visit. There are more places in Evanston than what I’m showing, but those are the usual for me.
Le Peep
One of the most popular places for breakfast or brunch (closes every day at 14:30) which means it could take some time to get a table here. Great and quick service and excellent dinner style food.
Cupitol Coffee & Eatery
Also a very popular place but with more options for sittings beside tables. the manager will assign tables usually. You order your food at the counter and pay, then grab your drinks (near the cashier) and the food will be served to your table. They also have self serve soda water (which I love). They serve dinners as well, but the food is better during the morning. The service is generally good and the food/drinks are mostly great.
It is a bit noisy, and if you need to use the restroom it can take some time.
Boltwood*
* This place has unfortunately just gone out of business in the last couple of months, But since I really liked it I wanted to maintain it.
It was an upscale American kitchen with a great atmosphere and a very peaceful design. The service was very nice and helpful (I’ve been there many times and never had an issue), and there was a good variety of dishes that were awesome.
I would give an honorable mention to OVO Frito Cafe and Golden Olympic Restaurant which I started going to both more often.
