If you are hungry in city anytime, don’t worry, you will get yummy -mouth watering Pav-bhaji in any restaurants or on street food. This food is very popular among all age group especially in western India (Mumbai, Ahmedabad) and people prefer it on any time. They just love it and have with great pleasure.
Preparation of Pav-Bhaji: This is purely vegeterian dish made by Potatoes, Tomatoes, Cubbage - smashing and cooking in hot Indian spices and Herbs. It is served with fresh bread and chopped Onion and piece of lemon. It is quick dishes and preparation time is not much. I love this food and mostly once in weekend i try this. Even at home, my wife prepares the same once in fortnight. This dish can be taken in any season but especially in winger and monsoon people takes it more. It is preferred by all age group.Best place to try Pav Bhaji in Mumbai: Shiv Sagar Veg Restaurant - Juhu Beach is the best place to try this dish if you are nearby. This is one of the popular restaurant in the city and mostly it is crowded by all age group peoples. If you are planning here for lunch or dinner, better don’t drive your vehicle else you would end up in trouble because parking is very limited here and mostly after 6:30 PM over weekends you won’t get any parking nearby. If you are planning to drive your own vehicle, then better to reach this place by 6:oo PM and park your car at Juhu beach - Pay and Park area. Charges are INR 60 for four hours which is very nominal.
With Pav-Bhaji, make sure that you order one more exotic items “Tawa Pulav”. When you eat both this dishes then only your meal is to be considered as complete. So do not forget to order this also. First try the pav bhaji followed by Tawa Pulav.
Preparation of Tawa Pulav: This is specially prepared by high quality “basmati” rice. It is cooked on big pan (called Tawa in local language) along with mix vegetables and hot spices and herbs. It is served with Veg Raita (Salty curd mixed with chopped onion, cucumber and tomatoes).
I have given the menu of quick bites of this restaurant so you don’t need to much wait in checking menu and deciding which dish to order. Just order both dishes - Pav Bhaji and Tawa Pulav. First ask waiter to bring you Pav bhaji followed by hot Tawa Pulav. You can order Masala Butter milk along with this. If your tong feel very hot then take a sip of Butter milk (Chhash - local name) and you would feel that your thirst from centuries are quench, really, Just try and let me know how you feel it.
This restaurant is not a wheel chair friendly and handicap people needs extra support to get into the restaurant. upon request, restaurant people arrange special seating for handicapped people, but i don’t think that wheel chair can be taken inside as it is congested inside.
I hope this information would be helpful and you people try this special Indian dishes whenever you are in my city.
