Bread, is as old as civilization for us humans. There is even a debate about which came first, bread or beer as both involve yeast flour. So when and where did bread originate? Well if you look at some of my earlier postings you’d find I was in South East of Turkey in 2016/2017 to an area called the fertile crescent. I went to two places, Çatalhöyük and Göbekli Tepe. The grass we call wheat naturally grew there in the wild. So we are pretty certain Mesopotamia was the origin of wheat. Small bands of nomadic hunter gathers started to be more sedentary since food and resources were available year round. This became a foundation of our calories and diet. So with my experiences in Turkey eating the different varieties there. I started making some bread and my wife started making some of her Chinese buns… I found a recipe for pull apart buns that taste great. We started our trek through bread making Now we are starting to experience, dinner rolls or soft rolls to meat buns maybe I will try bagels myself… but the smell of cooking bread, it’s so primordial I just can’t stop eating it lol… I will continue my bread adventures and talk about history more… stay tuned
