Sherpur is an ancient place. Sherpur is known historically but surrounded by rivers, canals, hill and forests, Sherpur was once distinguished within its natural boundaries. I decided to visit Jhenaigati, an upazila of Sherpur district on the Garo hill but did not find any suitable hotel. Then through google map I found a resort namely ‘Bonorani Forest Resort’ (বনরাণী ফরেস্ট রিসোর্ট). I’ll tell about the resort.
In the google map, I found the phone no. of the resort and booked a room for me. The resort is situated on a hill is called Garo hill. The resort’s main building has two floors where three rooms. There are nine cottages in the resort, all are twin shared. The main feature of this resort is that it is located inside the forest surrounded by greenery.
Many people want to visit Ghazni Leisure Center which is a beautiful beauty bordering India and various places around but the main problem was lack of accommodation. Bonorani Forest Resort has been able to solve this accommodation problem. It is very easy to go some tourist places from here like, Ghazni Leisure Center, Modhutila Eco Park, Panihata-Tarani Hill, Baromari Mission and Nakugaon land port .

How to go : I have gone there by my private car. The distance between Dhaka to the Bonorani Forest Resort is 220 Km by road and about 6 hours of journey. Many buses depart from Dhaka’s Mohakhali Bus Terminal for Sherpur. Coming from Dhaka to Sherpur by bus; Then from here you have to go to the resort by bus, microbus, CNG-powered auto rickshaw or rent-a-car via Jhenaigati upazila or directly to Jhenaigati upazila.

Final Word : The natural beauty of Garo hilly Sherpur district has been enthralling the travelers for ages. In addition to playing a major role in the development of the tourism industry of this beautiful land, there is a possibility of creating large employment opportunities in Sherpur. It is expected Bonorani Forest Resort to add new dimension to attract domestic tourists as well as foreigners.
