Ramgarh is an upazilla of Bangladesh under Khagrachari hill district. The first training camp of the Mukti Fouj (freedom fighters) was established at Ramgarh in 1971. Not only that Ramgarh is a notable historical place. The Ramgarh Local Battalion was established on 29 June 1795 at the city of Ramgarh which has been turned into Border Guard Bangladesh, lately.
I decided to visit Ramgarh but did not find any suitable hotel. Then through google map I found a resort namely ‘Bonchaya Resort’ (বনছায়া রিসোর্ট). I’ll tell about the resort.
In the google map, I found the phone no. of the resort and booked a room for me. The resort has three floors and is situated on a hill called Bolturam tila.
There are 14 living rooms in the building having nice corridor and clean and well decorated toilet.
The dining are is very much comfortable. The basin are has been built outside the dining, Their food quality is very good.
There is separate room for drivers. The resort has enough car parking facility.
There is a mini seminar room in the Bonchaya Resort where about 70 participants can attend a seminar or training.
There is a well decorated reception in Bonchaya Resort. After a long hours of journey one can find a good well come here.
The used to cultivate some salad items like cucumber, lettuce leaves, broccoli, etc. in a small place.

How to go : The distance between Dhaka to Ramgarh is 211 Km by road And about 99 km from Chittagong. 10/15 buses leave from Dhaka to Ramgarh Khagrachari every day. Tickets can be collected from Saidabad, Kamalapur, Gabtali, Fakirapool Kalabagan and Tttipara. Ramgarh can be reached directly by bus from S Alam, Shyamoli, Saudia, Centrumatin and Shanti Paribahan. Moreover, one can come to Ramgarh from Dhaka via Hillking or Hillbird, CNG and your own transport via Baraiyar Hat. After reaching Ramgarh one can go by auto rickshaw to Bonchaya Resort but must tell Bolturam tila to the driver.

Best time to go : The best time to visit Ramgarh would be anytime other than rainy day.
Final Word : Ramgarh is not a big town. But much better than I expected. The hilly Feni River that runs along the side divides the two countries of Bangladesh and India. Kalsi Mukh, Bangladesh-India Friendship Bridge, Ramgarh Tea Garden, SDO Dak Bungalow, Hill Region Agricultural Research Center and Horticulture Centre, BGB Memorial, Mahamuni Buddhist Vihar and Hanging Bridge are the scenic tourist spots.
Ramgarh Upazila is full of natural beauty, variety of mountain springs and greenery. There is the sky-mountain connection, the vast plains of the Feni and Pilak river valleys bordering the Bangladesh-India border and the diverse cultural diversity of the hill-Bengalis. Ramgarh is the only upazila of the mountainous Khagrachari district, known as the queen of forms of Bangladesh, has various scenic tourist spots. It is expected Bonchaya Resort to add new dimension to attract domestic tourists as well as foreigners.
