This is not only a cafe but it’s a place of humanity where people aren’t judge by their clothes, skin, or religion. Every human being are welcome here.

Today I am going to share you the story of Mr Amin Sheikh who was victim of child abuse and left the home at the age of 5.

He really dint know where he was going to go and where he was going to live. But he says

Life is life I am because of you

After all sleepless nights on streets and hard works he has reached on a level where he is taking care of 16 orphanage boys and girls by running this cafe.

He wanted to open a cafe with a library. But he made sure in his coffee shop all the workers will come from his orphanage, snehasadan. As he believe that after leaving the hostel they should have job to buy or rent the house.

Snehasadan is oprhange home for 50 years they have offered shelter and vocational training to homeless children in Bombay, children actually from all over India . About 40,000 kids have been through snehasadan in that time.

Amin also mentioned in his coffee shops, the workers won’t be just workers, we will also look after them. There are many children who struggle to cope with their lives. Some of them have trained to be a carpenter or welders, drivers or electricians. So there will be a special board to the coffee shop , and when someone come in and ask for any of them they will find the phone number of this children -turned - professionals on the board.

There are so many artist and fashion designer from snehasadan ( orphanage) who are really capable to make a life more better but not able to buy or rent a shop to display their collections due to lack of finance. He asked them to display their work in the coffee shop , whether t -shirt, bags , dresses, painting or whatever it might be, wherever they sell will be theirs. So they can be their own bosses. Amin dint wanted to let them sell their to some one who I’ll take wrong advantage of their situations.

A display of few designer clothes is designed by khusboo is one of them.

There are many Artist who came forward and donated their paintings to this cafe.

He also a wrote a book life is life I am because of you.

There was sweet poem was frame which was well written God has a plan for you

The ambiance of the cafe is really amazing decorated with books and paintings. The atmosphere is so peaceful one can even visit alone and just read the books.

The food and the coffee was really great in taste sorry i couldn’t click the the photos of the food but i would like to tell you we tried something new in sandwich the sandwich was made up of baingan ka bharta. I was really not sure how it is going to taste but when i asked one of her staff she answered very gently After you everything is great this answer made me smile and i just ordered omg it was delicious. we tried it for the 1st time.

If your in Mumbai i must say visit this cafe once.

Thank you

A very interesting place @Pratik_89 looks like a mixed bag of business + orphanage + charity.

Nice photos though, I like your eye for detail and the lighting in the photos is perfect :+1:

I’d love to visit this shop when in this part of Mumbai but the rates look exorbitant.

Hi @TusharSuradkar thank you for the appreciation. Nope the rates are really not much as high as compared to other brands cafes.

We ordered 4 items which nearly cost me 560 Inr including tax.

  1. Toasted garlic bread

  2. Americano

  3. Peach ice tea

  4. baigan ka bharta sandwich.

I have been to many cafes in mumbai this is something unique.

‘After you everything is great’ That’s one of the coolest response I have ever come across.

For sometime I thought this cafe is in Barcelona @Pratik_89 , what an amazing concept though!

I love the pictures in the post specially the menu and the lights near cafe counter.

Although Andheri sounds like a day trip to me, I hope to visit this one!
