After the success of a few brunch meet-ups, it was time to switch things up and engage in some friendly competition over board games! #Vancouver #LocalGuides head over to Storm Crow Tavern in the trendy neighborhood of Commercial Drive, where we saw some familiar faces and also some new ones! One of the Local Guides that joined us is a brand new Vancouverite all the way from France. Welcome again to the community, Charles!
After the introductions, we dove right into a game of Cards Against Humanity and learned we had a few more things in common other than just being a part of the community. Next, we had the ultimate Jenga championships! The prize was the coveted Leia Pegman Pin.
The winner was Calvin, Level 4 Guide, who miraculously survived 6 rounds of Jenga! He took home the well-deserved pin and also some movie themed buttons from Storm Crow.
While we had a blast playing games and laughing, we also discussed how we could build up the community in Vancouver and get more involvement among the Local Guides. Some things discussed were different types of meet-ups based on interests, and how to build our social media presence.
Look out for an event happening during the Map Your World Week! We will rally up and help to improve the accuracy of maps in our city for all to enjoy. Can’t wait to meet more of you =]
