I have been looking through my guide images and they all look out of focus. When I submitted them they were tack sharp. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening ? Thank you in advance.
Hi, @KwwMedia
If I’m not mistakenly remember, someone has said that photos that we’ve upload to Maps is being compressed to smaller size. So most Maps users could open that compressed image with their gadget (not every user is using the most sophisticated gadget).
According to this guide, https://support.google.com/business/answer/6103862?hl=en#zippy=%2Cphoto-guidelines , best way to upload a photo to Maps is it has file size 10 KB - 5 MB, recommended resolution 720p x 720p (minimum 250p x 250p), and JPG or PNG format.
Hello, Thanks for the guidelines, but here’s the problem. When I uploaded these images, they were perfectly sharp, and now 1-2 years later they look terrible. Something changed on the site and altered the images. I’ll use the guidelines from here on out and see what happens. Thanks for your help.
Absolutely correct @iorikun301 thanks for this information and @KwwMedia .thanks for asking your queries here .as you’re new here I would like to tell you to add @ this symbol before the name of a person you want to mention so that they may reply you soon
I experience the same and find it frustrating. I uploaded quite a number of photos in very good quality, and in the preview (left column) they look pin sharp, but once I click on one of these they are so blurry, that even a upscaled thumbnail from the preview would look sharper.
