Beautiful @sarabarbanera ! What’s the name of that beach?

Karafu beach. Karafu is a spice (chiodi di garofano in Italian)

Hello @sarabarbanera ,

Thank you for sharing this location and amazing photo with us, the water looks cristal clear!

It’s been a long time since I didn’t see such a beach, so pure, clean and wide. Were you there on holidays or you live in this area?

Is this a wild beach, or there are restaurants and bars close to it?

I am on holiday in zanzibar. Here is full of wide and blue panorama. I will post other pictures. If you search among the post you find other pictures I posted. Anyway come and see… Amazing! Sara

Hi @sarabarbanera ,

Blue is definitely my favorite color! Can you tell me more about how you traveled to Zanzibar? Did you take a package deal or planned it yourself? I’m really interested to travel there and have been wondering how it would be best.

Would you say it’s safe? Any other tips would be extremely helpful. Thanks a lot!

Hello

I bought the whole trip from Italy because I decided… Last minute but here I do not stay in the resort. I have searched out and knew a local guy who is bringing me in some places in the isle. It is not dangerous in the day and better with a local because he helps you to move around. In the evening Stonetown by yourself is not recommended. Anyway a travelled a lot in the past and I would say that here is quite under control. They live with tourism so they take care and know that they must respect if they want tourists come again. I suggest to reserve something from your country and then move around with someone of the place.

Hope I have been useful to you…

@sarabarbanera Thanks a lot! Yes that’s quite useful, I was thinking about a similar kind of booking. What did you like most about Zanzibar? How long did you travel there?

I have 10 days but it is enough. For the moment write down these places: Stonetown of course, prison island (with turtles), Nakupenda Beach, spice forest, monkey forest. They are touristic but they deserve a visit. In Stonetown Freddie Mercury bith house (nobody is interested but me yes!), the market, the very centre, the commercial port. And going around and talking to people… Is always the most interesting thing you can do! If I see other things I let you know!
