This is my first post and I came to know about it from google maps local guide connect. I am new to this so finger crossed , but I believe a nature lover will not fail to express his experience. its been few years now and I have been travelling around the world for by business/job needs every time I have an awesome experience I love to share it to people cause trips are never easy , and some times this world never forgets to surprise you in mid of no where.

I personally had a tough experience when I was lost on 25 Dec 2017 in mid of a jungle road of Karnataka India , It was almost 10 PM hardly any network , hardly any street light or any one to ask wheres next , I kept driving my bike for some 20 odd KM with 2 of my fiends to find the nearest 4 cross , where I thought I would find some one , and after 1 Hour we got help (A bike petrol police officer ), it was around 11PM and the officer guided us to a hill top temple. After a lot of authentication and requesting he agreed to allow us to stay in the temple. That was the day when I realised how important is it to add the smallest location on the planet may be it can give some one shelter in a harsh winter night and google maps is that tool which can help me to contribute to this endeavour. I believe there are thousands like me who have got some wonderful experience but have no means to communicate but when I have an opportunity then why not be the difference .

That night I did not get a hotel cause it was holiday season and all hotels were celebrating , but I ended up being on the top of the mountain from where I saw the whole city celebrating . It was special . We got our tents out , had a small fire to keep us warm wrapped ourselves in our sleeping bag and we fell asleep, and next day morning we realised we have already reached the ancient city of "HAMPI " and the rising sun made us feel like a conqueror .

This world never fails to amuse , and google maps is the friend in need, next day on top of mountain we got good network coverage , we went to lot of world heritage sites for next 3 days and google maps the star of all trips .
