People from other parts of India like a dish names Dosai accompanied with chuttney and sambar but I would like to let the non-chennaites know that Chennai is famous for several distinct cuisines ranges from Chettinad dishes, Nawabi cuisines, French cuisines, Andhra cuisines, Malabar cuisines etc.
Every cuisines we have in Chennai have Biriyani as part of it’s cuisine. Biriyani is a dish where meat is cooked along with rice, meat and spices. One can find wide variety of Biriyani in Chennai from different cuisines and every cuisine has it’s own flavor.
There are several big brands known for Biriyani in Chennai but there are several smaller restaurants without great recognition in platforms like Google, Zomato etc hence I would like to recommend a small restaurant named Sri Ganesh Chettinad Military Hotel in Millers Road. The ambiance is not great at this restaurant but they use fresh meat and spices with a secret biryani receipe that’s unique
