Here is the collection of Photographs of Birds Captured by me during the past few days. I usually prefer to click pictures of birds through Vivid mode which helps me get the perfect colors.
Hope you like it. Camera - Nikon D3400

Amazing photos @RahulDayal
Absolutely beautiful photos @RahulDayal .A few years back (about 30) I had a nice SLR camera, and I used to go out to take nature photos, especially waterfalls. I tried night shots too, and they were great.
But now I have a Nikon digital SLR, and it has auto this, and auto that, but so far I haven’t been able to take any photos that come near a film camera, and add the fact that I have forgotten a lot, and now I have to relearn everything from scratch, which is hard these days as thanks to an injury, and being on meds, learning isn’t as easy.
But, when I see such beautiful photos, it makes me smile, which is rare for me these days, which I won’t go into.
Thank you for sharing your talent, and your beautiful photos, they have lifted my spirits.
Cheers,
Steven.
Hey Steven, sorry for your medical condition but keep your spirits high. I guess its a good time for you to learn more and more about photography by watching youtube etc to uplift your skills and knowledge untill you are fit enought to go out and implement it practically. Hope you recover soon.
And i am learner too, started photography last year only. So these words really motivated me too. Thank you !
nice short @RahulDayal .hope in future share your another photography too
Hi @RahulDayal .
Thank you for the photos of the lovely birds. Would you please share with us which lens you would use for such detailed close up shots?
I am currently using the 80D Canon for which as a beginner, there are quite many struggles to achieve the balance of the imagery.
Sure, i have used Nikon 70-300 mm lens. Using this lens for a while now and i would definitely say Its a great mid range lens.
Thank you for the tip @RahulDayal . I would definitely need advises and lots of training with the camera.
Feel free to discuss whatever you would need to know. I would love to share whatever little experience / knowledge i have gained.
Hi @RahulDayal
Thanks for the excellent reply.
I think one thing that makes it harder to learn these days is that it’s so easy. Most of the options on mine (Nikon D7200) make it so easy to take a photo, and being able to review it afterwards means I can delete the ones that don’t work, or look good. But with the film camera which was a Ricoh, there was no auto mode, except for the basic snap shots, but I still had to manually focus, and manually set the f stop. Back then, to avoid wasting a lot of money on bad photos, I had to learn from my mistakes, and read a lot in magazines. There was no internet back then, and any suggestions that an internet would someday exist would have resulted in laughter, and a lot of rude comments. So back then, my friend and I had to learn what each setting was, and understanding of how each setting interacted with other settings. Another big difference is that film photography looked much better, and had a different feel to it. When blowing up a photo, there was no such thing as pixels, so while the right film was used, and the focus was right, then as a photo could be blown up to a poster size.
I’m hoping to maybe join a camera club sometime in the future, when I can afford it.
I haveNever been had an eye for taking photos of people, but nature was what interested me. I may have to scan some of my old photos, and share them.
Keep going with it, as you have started off very well, and I can see that you will be great. A thing to try is to turn off all auto options, and try experimenting with manual settings, from there you can take some great photos that the auto modes won’t allow. Especially such things as a car driving past at night, and just getting streaks of light from the lights, or a night sky shot with the stars streaking across the sky. Just a couple ideas, but there many other things that can be done.
I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful photos in the future.
Breathtakingly beautiful bird photography @RahulDayal . I have never seen an Asian Green Bee-eater before. The green is so striking.
Cheers,
Karen
