There’s a song that I like that goes “Somewhere over the rainbow. Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow.” The song invokes longing for things to work out and a hopefulness for better times.
What would it be like to fly over the rainbow? Hiking around Arizona, I’ve captured bird’s-eye views atop summits. These not only help visitors get a full perspective of the park’s layout, but also elicit a feeling of “wow.” In that moment, nothing matters but the scenic lay of the land that stretches in front of you. Wonder and joy overtakes you, and your worries melt quickly away like lemon drops (that you forgot in a car on a hot day).
Let’s spread our wings and take in these sights together…
A trail meandering like a white snake through the brown mounds. Beyond that, endless desert and mountains that fill the horizon.
Sometimes, the clouds hug the sun and a shadow blankets the mountains. The houses are like white speckles- small in comparison to the land they sit on.
A daring steep drop-off that leads to a sea of green parted by a lone winding road. You are so high up you can only see the tips of the pine tree. The skyline is filled with shades of blue and gray peaks that blend together.
@AZ_2021 And it is colourful …Has this spring been wetter than usual in Arizona like it was in California?.Anyway those pictures are beautyful and inspiring.
Yes we can fly too we fly in our dreams we fly on our feelings we fly on our joys after all we fly our whole lives. Thanks for the great feeling @AZ_2021
Realmente essa música é linda e as fotos que postou também.
Sua postagem e suas fotos me fez lembrar uma música de um cantor famoso Roberto Carlos, ele é considerado o rei aqui no Brasil. A letra diz o seguinte:
“Além do horizonte deve ter
Algum lugar bonito pra viver em paz
Onde eu possa encontrar a natureza
Alegria e felicidade com certeza…”
O contato com a natureza sempre nos traz um vigor e uma tranquilidade. Obrigada por me fazer voar hoje e por alguns momentos mesmo que em frente ao computador, me senti em paz e revigorada.
Beautifully written and captured, @AZ_2021 - those vantage points really do feel completely serene. It really is amazing to gain the perspective of the shots and the height when really taking a look at the background.
@rosanabtl I am so happy to hear that you felt at peace and felt that you were able to fly. I love Roberto Carlos. One of the songs I enjoy from him is “Esse Cara Sou Eu.” Thank you for introducing me to that new beautiful song.
