Whenever I have time, me and the wife like to go birding in Southern Colorado, we usually do this in the late Spring to early Fall. We know of Chico Basin Ranch, Alamosa, and Pueblo’s Raptor Center. I have the Audubon apps and try to visit as many hotspots recommended in them, but I want to know where more regular spots are because hot spots usually have more people traffic. I’ll start: CSU Pueblo is a great spot for eyeing a few bird of prey (red-tailed and coopers hawk) if you look towards Kansas.
