One day i was searching for bird sanctuary near my local area then i got to know about this place so open the place in the map and went through some reviews and ratings then i made up my mind on the next day i took my bike and rush into this place.

About this place
Chintamoni Kar Bird Sanctuary situated at south Kolkata,This garden is famous for availability of wide variety of birds, butterflies, ferns and orchids.

we reached the place at 11 AM then we had our breakfast after that we ran into the Sanctuary , once you enter into it you will start to hear the birds sweet sound. so i took out my camera and start capturing the dense forest as well as the birds as this is very small Sanctuary so i was not expecting much but i manage to capture 5 to 6 species of birds. we almost spend 2 hours in it and it was worth visit.

If you love nature photography and you are staying in Kolkat then you must visit this place at least once

Some Tips:

  1. Bring mosquito repellent cream if you can.
  2. Bring some food if you can as there are no restaurant available near by.
  3. zoom lens is must if you are into photography (recommended lens at least 300 mm)

I liked a lot the description that you gave! I think it’s really very nice place and especially when you are interested in photography. You took amazing photos! I am curious which camera did you use and which lens? The tips that you gave are also very useful for the other Local Guides.

All the photos were captured with the help of Canon 700D :camera_flash: along with 250mm telephoto lens.
