Through Google Maps, I connected with few other friends for Biking Expeditions within my city, Bangalore, India. While exploring the city on my Bike, I found places having potential of great stories and histories behind them from which I am sharing a few below
-
Hennur Bamboo Forest
Hennur Bamboo forest is a man made forest made for revitalising and conserve the environment consisting mainly of Bamboo Plantations. Located just outside the city, this forest had great biking trails to test our endurance and agility. I thoroughly enjoyed the biking trails here. In Google Maps, the update and photos uploaded by me have already garnered approx 1400 views and has helped others to visit and enjoy the place.
This biking trail is away from the bustling and demanding lifestyle of the city and is very much refreshing. -
Avalahalli Forest
Avalahalli Forest is one of my favourite biking trails. I am passionate about exploring off-roading trails in and around Bangalore and that’s where I discovered this place on Google Maps. This vast forest is open to public which has trails for biking, jogging and also has walk paths. It is very special to me now as it is closer to city and is very scenic and peaceful. I love to be closer with nature. You are always welcomed here by chirping of birds, screaming of peacock. I feel rejuvenated and energetic after trailing in this place. The trails here tests your biking skills, endurance and stamina.
3. Authentic Dosa Exploration
As a local Guide (and a foodie as well), I explored the authentic south Indian dosa in bangalore having a heritage and a story behind them. The legacy which this story carries is worth travelling for.
I started this journey from Vidyarthi Bhavan churning out millions of Dosas since 1943 (Pre Indian Independence era). The demand of this place can be judged from the level of crowd. Review of this place has helped many people to come and enjoy the place.
I explored Veena Stores for its authentic idlis and vadas (tasting out of this world). Also Janatha Hotel’s (Estb 1971) Masala Dosa were mouth watering and worth visiting.
As a local Guide, visiting these and reviewing these places was most satisfying and has helped people to know about these place.
Google maps allow people like to me explore new places around them and share it with Google Community.
