I hail from Bharuch, a semi-Urban town located in South of Gujarat state in India. I am an Associate Professor in Narmada College Of Science and Commerce teaching Electronics to Science graduate students.
The name of my college is from the name of very renouned and perennial river Narmada on the bank of which our town Bharuch is located.
Our College is actively contributing in the national level project taken up by an NGO named “Narmada-Samagra” and conservation of river Narmada. The river has sanctifying history and is considered very pious by Indians. The government has very recently implemented a very ambitious project of Narmada canals spread all over the state to provide water to the areas of water scarcity and help the agricultural prospects by building the tallest dam over the river at Kavedia named Sardar Sarovar Dam, this is the place where the world renouned “Structure of Unity”, ie of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has been built and is now open for visitors.
I am proud to inhibit at a place of such significance and would like to contribute to my region in whichever way possible.
Regards,
B J Lad.
