So I’m gonna talk about one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. It is Bhedaghat, a small town near District Jabalpur in State Madhya Pradesh, India. It is largely known for two reasons - DhuaDhar Waterfall and Boat ride in between Marble rocks.
First let’s know about Marble rocks. It is spread in a bigger region and river Narmada flows in between them.
Marble rocks are not limited to only White one that we usually witness (that was used in Taj Mahal), but also the touch of Blue and Black Marbles. The water has cut the marble so beautifully that there is a place where you can form a India map in water covered with marbles.
There also a cave of crocodiles in between the marble rocks. There has been some accidents occurred in past but recently no crocodiles could be found in here. This place is suitable for thriller sequence for movies and eventually lot of movies were filmed here (one of the main attraction for people living here). There is a boat ride here which is altogether a different experience. Silent site with continuous commentary of boat rider. They have come up with such amusing description of the valley that can’t be bored for 20-30 minutes. It is most beautiful at the time of full moon and that is the only time when boat ride is open for night. There is a street market when you go out of this site and can buy things handcrafted by marble stone.
Now let’s got the Dhuadhar fall, which can be subjected to Mini Niagara falls. The flow is so fierce that smoke comes out of water and hence name goes DhuaDhar.
Some won’t believe that kids used to jump in there and bring out the coin which you will throw (it made me crazy when I was kid). But, now despite so much of natural richness, these places have become just another spot to click pictures and selfies which I believe is the same case for most of the tourist places. Maybe we should devote more time in knowing about the place, its history and the reason that why it has become what it is now. This place is close to my hometown and I’m very happy that local vibe is still intact in here.
Yes the moonlight view is Lit. I haven’t experienced it yet but gonna plan that some day. From Jabalpur city it is 15 KM and it takes 30 mins. You can spend as many days as you want but can explore this place in a day.
