CHHATAR is a popular festival in Western Odisha, It’s real celebration starts from Nuakhai and ends on with Diwali festival. But the central program [CHHATAR] is initiating on the 8th night of Dussehra puja[Also so calling as Maha Ashtami]. The spl invitation by Budhara to Maa Manikeswari sacred power from the Jena khaal near Naktiguda on the midnight, And the whole procession is followings over main road, state highway and some part of National highway up to Kings Palace, Maa Manikeswari temple. Beautiful function, Every one at least need to see once on their lifetime.
