On the top of the Singa shale formation is the Wang Kelian Lookout point. The highest paved area in Perlis and a wonderful view of the State. I have been to this site when I was young and but have not been since.
One would see all of the northern tip of Perlis. looking our to the left in Thailand to the left is west and later the coast.
Come by around 7 am to catch great light as it comes over the horizon. You would be on a range which is predominantly Limestone of 490 years old! You can access the Peak via car. Just cautiously and slowly drive up.
I shared this area on Goolge maps when I re-discovered the site as I got older and was able to drive. I have been coming back since. this is not the first time Google maps has helped me in re-discovering old sites my family would frequent but have forgotten as my father was always in the wilds the site are usually off the beaten path.
The images and reviews are priceless, I wouldn’t have known it is the area I went to if it wasn’t for the photos and other reviews done by others. Google maps are a part of daily life, helping me daily for a better future and helping me relive my past.
I love sharing about naturally historical sites, being in Malaysia we love malls to, and I do admire a clean bathroom like everyone or an easily accessible one that is clean (Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode). I want to help others. I depend on reviews and adding my own contributions helps the whole community
