I work in the Barra funda area in Sao Paulo about 8 years and i made a list wi th the bests restaurants by kitchen type that you’d like to go if you are in that area.
Off course in Barra funda we have two near big Shooping Malls(West PLaza Shopping and Bourbon Shopping) with food courts, but there is no secret in Shoppings malls you will find a lot of fast food restaurants and that is not my intetion with this guide. So lets see the list:
Japanese Food - Nagairo Sushi
Located inside the Allianz Park Stadium, Nagairo is one of the best Japanese restaurant that i visited no only in th region of Barra Funda, but in all Sao Paulo. So i highly recomend that restaurant if you like to eat japanese food.The restaurant is little expensive but worth the price.

Brazillian Food - Cabana de Minas Restaurant
If wou what to taste the famous Brazillian food the restaurant i recommend is Cabana de Minas. The restaurant is openned about a year but the menu is full of delicious options and i recommend to taste the Feijoada with caipirinha.

Italian Food - Degas Pompéia
The Degas Pompéia restaurant is one of the most tradional restaurants in the area, with one of the best Parmegiana in the city. i Highly recommend a visit.

Arabian Food - Ligue Esfiha Kalik Perdizes
The Ligue Esfiha Kalik restaurant has the best Esfihas that i ever tasted, so i recommend this restaurant if you want to have a good experience with Arabian food
