In my opinion, making consistent contributions is the only strategy that works @jinx420666

That creates a motivation to explore newer places, snap pictures and add reviews.

When you walk around an area with your phone and you are not sure what to Map, check out the Check the Facts and Uncover Missing Info, you find these two under the Your Contributions tab inside the Google Maps app. Local Guides with pending edits will be grateful to you.

Note: You may have to scroll down a bit on the Your Contributions page, as Google first lists suggestions of things you could do, based on your history (places that you visited).
