Aslam Chicken Corner’s owner, Aslam claims the title of being a wizard when it comes to grilled non-vegetarian delicacies. He is credited with the honour of having created his personalized mouth-watering version of Butter Cream Chicken, which is prepared using 22 secret spices, six types of pastes and pure Amul cream. Started by Abdul Ghani Qureshi, this place has become an institution for kebab enthusiasts. Currently run by the fifth generation of the family, they have carved a niche for themselves in the profession with their unique recipe. Abdul Ghani’s grandfather was the one who started the business of selling kebabs and the generations after him, have inherited his talent and skills. The renowned family has a street in Old Delhi named after them called Gali Kebabian. They use fine quality meat and avoid the use of fat as their ingredient. The family also believes in crushing the spices themselves to add a touch of authenticity.

Ghalib Kabab Corner is located near the Markazi mosque and stands unopposed as the best place for kebabs when it comes to street food in Delhi. They have been serving delicious well-cooked kebabs and tikkas for close to 45 years now and have built a circle of loyal customers in Nizamuddin. Their recipes use masalas that come all the way from Lucknow. The meat used is fresh and juicy and you know the difference when the flavours of the spices hit your senses. They serve a fulfilling plate of tikkas for Rs 50, four seekh kebabs for Rs 50 and two shami kebabs for Rs 70.

Lotan Chole Wala is a true gem when it comes to the famous street food in Delhi, Chola Kulcha. The combination of soft white kulcha and boiled chickpea is embedded in our hearts forever.
