Abdul Ghani’s grandfather was the one who started the business of selling kebabs and the generations after him, have inherited his talent and skills. The renowned family has a street in Old Delhi named after them called Gali Kebabian. They use fine quality meat and avoid the use of fat as their ingredient. The family also believes in crushing the spices themselves to add a touch of authenticity.

Ghalib Kabab Corner is located near the Markazi mosque and stands unopposed as the best place for kebabs when it comes to street food in Delhi. They have been serving delicious well-cooked kebabs and tikkas for close to 45 years now and have built a circle of loyal customers in Nizamuddin. Their recipes use masalas that come all the way from Lucknow. The meat used is fresh and juicy and you know the difference when the flavours of the spices hit your senses. They serve a fulfilling plate of tikkas for Rs 50, four seekh kebabs for Rs 50 and two shami kebabs for Rs 70.

Weekends are incomplete without this staple North Indian street food. The best part about this place is that they serve three spice levels of their chole: mild, medium and hot. The topping of white radish, coriander and grated ginger, along with a dollop of butter makes it even more delicious. If you are heading to this place for breakfast, you can find him in Chatta Shah and if you reach post noon, you can find him behind the Commercial School in Darya Ganj.
